Book Review- Anna and the French Kiss

I just finished reading Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins for an Around the World Tour.

From Goodreads:

Anna was looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. So she's less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris — until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all . . . including a serious girlfriend.

But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss? Stephanie Perkins keeps the romantic tension crackling and the attraction high in a debut guaranteed to make toes tingle and hearts melt.

This was such a sweet book.  Such a light, cute young adult love story.  And I loved it!

First off, I love the idea of a boarding school in Paris.  Who wouldn't want to go there!  It sounds like it would have been so much fun.

I really liked all of the characters.  They were fun and they seemed like real teens.  They were all normal.  Not in the popular group, and not out of it.  Not awesome students but not bad either.  Just regular teenagers.   And St. Clair makes me want a boy born in the US but raised in England who can speak French!

The only complaint I have about this book is that I would have liked it to go on!  It's already a bigger book, but I would have loved to know what happened at the end of the school year, over the summer, and even into the freshman year of college!

I gave this book a rating of 4/5.

Anna and the French Kiss will be released on December 2, 2010.
